Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Title and Authorship:

Title of the paper and full name of author(s), affiliation, and brief author(s) bio to be written on a separate page. Where the paper has two or more authors, please indicate the corresponding author and his/her email address.

Abstract:

The paper must have an abstract not exceeding 300 words.

Keywords:

The paper shall indicate at least 3 keywords.

Length:

Length of the paper must be between 8,000-10,000 words. Tables and graphs should be separately attached in MS Excel. Case study analyses/reports should be between 1,500-3,000 words. Commentaries should not exceed 3,000 words.

Format:

The submitted paper for review must be written in Bookman Old Style, font 12, double spaced and aligned. Footnotes must be written in Times New Roman, font 10. Quotes should be italicized, written in Times New Roman, font 10. Use UK English.

References:

References must be in accordance to IEEE standard. All references should be carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency. At the end of the paper a reference list in alphabetical order should be supplied.

Submission:

Paper to be submitted in MS Word or LATEX coded according to the format template.

Plagarism Test:

All submitted papers will be subjected to anti-plagarism tests.

Accepted Papers:

All accepted papers will incur a Kshs 10,000 (US$100) publication fee. The funds meet the cost of publication of the jounral.  Authors will be provided with payment details.
